Does anyone know of the best performing art high school in Chicago, IL?

I am looking for a good performing art high school in the Chicago area or near Chicago. Something that is worth every single penny. My Step daughter is moving with us to Chicago. She has such good talent for acting, singing and performing all round I want to help her find a good Performing Art High School. Private or public school as long as it’s a good school.

I just came across it and think I can help.

I am a teacher from Texas...  but wait... keep reading!!  :)

I sent my daughter to one of the best performing art high schools in the world... and it is pretty close to you.   It is Interlochen Arts Academy in Interlochen, Michigan... outside of Traverse City.

It is a private boarding high school / very expensive / and highly respected as I said, Internationally.  There are students enrolled there from all over the world... but they are very selective... having about a 500 student enrollment from 9th -12th + a post graduate year for extra training.  

There are programs in music performance, acting, voice, dancing... and academic based as well with programs in science and math.   If you phone the school,  they can send you a video so that you can see what the school is about.  You can also take a visit.  It is a performers dream come true.  My daugher - born and raised in Texas - absolutely loved every minute she spent there.

It has been a while since she graduated, but I will guess the tuition now is somewhere around $30,000 a year,  but your daughter can and should audition for scholarship and there is a great amount of scholarship money available for talented and dedicated students.

Being that is is so close to Chicago...  you should just check it out.

I can promise you,  you will not be disappointed.

I believe it is Lincoln Park High School. I believe you have to audition to get in their Performing Arts Major. It is a pretty good school.  Here is the link for more info. http://lincolnparkhs.org/admissions/perf...
