Does anyone know of the flower of the fern??

My dad told me this old story he heard as a boy growing in Poland. It says that if you find this flower growing off a fern at midnight on the shortest night of the year, then it will grant all your wishes. Has anyone heard of this? Are there some websites with more details? BTW, I'm not talking about Where The Red Fern Grows. Thank you!

I found this story. It's apparently a moral tale about a magical flower of the fern plant. And it would have to be magical because ferns do not have flowers.
