  1. I have a 5 1/2 old son and we have two difference car seat but love both of them. In my husbands car we have a Even Flo and I have a Britax. Both are excellent!

  2. I LOVE my Britax Marathon, which goes to 33lbs RF and 65lbs FF but I have found that at 30lbs my very tall 2 year old is one shoulder-slot away from being at the tallest setting! If your family tends to be tall and lean you may want to look into the Sunshine Kids Radian80 instead, it goes to 80lbs FF but has the same safety ratings as Britax. But the shoulder straps are closer-together so it doesn't work as well for chubby kids.

If you go with Britax, go with the Decathalon for a boy. It is the only convertible Britax with a moveable crotch-strap to avoid pinching later on.

I won't use any other carseat than Britax and Sunshine kids. they exceed all safety ratings.
