Does anyone know of ugly creatures that create beauty around them?

Hi all, I am writing a paper about creatures that are considered 'ugly' or not beautiful in nature but create beautiful worlds around them. My one example is spiders and their webs. Does anyone have any others I could research? Thanks

Southern cave fish / Pickerel frog /Grotto salamander These all live at least part time in caves past the twilight zone . They are beautiful and amazing to see when you find one. The fish and salamander live only in caves. To me all cave life is beautiful There is all kinds of things that live in caves. In total darkness.

To put a slant on this question, oysters create beauty within - pearls. They're pretty ugly looking on the outside.

Sloths are considered to quite ugly. Dont know what they would do to create beauty though..

How about caddisfly larvae? Case-making caddisflies make portable cases using silk along with substrate materials such as small fragments of rock, sand, small pieces of twig, aquatic plants, or sometimes silk alone. Insect larvae aren't generally considered beautiful, but depending on the materials available they can create a shell of beauty around them.

House centipedes create beauty in the human dwellings of the world.  They are those scary little thousand leggers that rush by in the basement when you turn on the lights.  They seem gross, but they eat all kinds of bad bugs, including termites, making your home cleaner and safer, and they are actually very clean themselves.
