Does anyone know some of the major volcanic eruptions that have ocurred?

I have an assignment in science and i need to do an illustration of one of the major volcanic eruptions.

the only one i know of is the one in pompeii

This site http://www.innvista.com/science/earth/ge... has a list of major volcanic eruptions.

This site http://encarta.msn.com/media_701500557_7... also has a list, and has the number of casualties included (since 1900)

This site is probably the one you can trust the most:  http://vulcan.wr.usgs.gov/LivingWith/Vol...  it is a usgs (United States Geological Survey) website, and they also give the major cause of deaths in accordance with the eruption.

This site http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Volcano gives some really neat pictures and a lot of background information.

Other than that, simply do an image search on either google or yahoo of Vesuvius, Krakatoa, or Mt. St. Helens.  (Note: explosion of Mt. Vesuvius will be a drawing)
