I use a voice recorder but when I wake sometimes I can remember details and others I forget I even dreamed, thus I want to be able to acknowledge I had dreamed so I can record them.

  1. When you first wake up, don't move.  Lay there and allow the memory of the dreams you had to come back.  Often getting up breaks the spell.  I have also heard that keeping a glass of water by your bed and drinking it when you awaken helps, not sure why.  If you remember anything, even little key words - write them down.  It might trigger something off later.

  2. We all dream. The difference is that some people remember their dreams, while others do not. What is the difference? I think that it's when we are awakened before the dream comes to an end--like when an alarm goes off or the dream disturbs us.

To remember your dreams, set an alarm, and be sure to have a way to write them down immediately.

  3. A good thing to do is to have either a voice recorder or a pen an paper with you. Then, if you wake up in the middle of the night, you can just record your dream!

  4. Have a notebook next to your bed...and jot down the things you CAN immediatly remember.. I find that remembering a few of the key things helps me  to remember most of it:D

  5. You will never be able to fully remember your dreams your brain erases your memory of them so it want confuse them your dreams with real memories.

  6. Write as soon as you wake up what you dreamt in a dream journal, always have it beside you, your dream could disappear just like that. Later on when you read it again, you can even remind yourself of your details by drawing a rough picture.

  7. Write them down.

  8. A really good thing to do is to have a pad and paper right next to you, maybe in your night stand or something.  It is easiest to remember dreams immediately upon waking.  If you wait even a few minutes, you can lose them.  Start writing what you remember as soon as you wake.
