I want to be happy. I have no college background and I am twenty-four. I'm in a funk in my life now. I would like to go to school to become a dietition, however, I am still job hunting, tight on money and not enjoying my current living situation. In the mean time, I would love to be in the wild and work with nature. I've heard that those types of jobs have a place to stay as well, which would be perfect for me since I own very little. It would also make me feel alive, I like the outdoors and feel at peace everytime I'm in the thick of it.

I should have sent in resumes sooner, in fact I should have done alot of things ahead of time, but for now I play things by ear and dealing with the results of my choices. If anyone has information, contacts, family or friends it would be mean THE WORLD to me. I'm tired of this nomad lifestyle, I've done alot already on my own, I'm not looking for a hand out or pity. Just a point in the right direction and some networking.

Thank you

  1. Try your local employment office.to get the detail

work, and file it with the state park and ranger

main office they carry weapon now.

THE EMPLOYMENT WILL GIVE YOU A WEB

    SITE TO RESEARCH.

  2. not really

  3. Other than school, try filling out a Appl. for a state job, in that area. I had one butt turned it down because it did not pay enough in Tenn. anyway. But I would love to do that kind of work also, I live in the country around animals wild deer in the back yard lots of woods, ect. so it would be a great job to have. so try what I said  GOOD LUCK!!

  4. As far as I know, you need a degree or certification to be a ranger. I went to college at Lake Superior State University, in Sault Ste. Marie, MI, and they offered courses toward a degree in this program. You might be better off checking out a ski area in Colorado or Wyoming. They usually offer housing if you work for them. You can't be lazy or have an attitude. Just work hard and be friendly towards the customers and you will do well. Another job is a Wrangler with a Dude Ranch.

Quit anything that is addictive and get on the right track, and never never feel sorry for yourself or make excuses. Addictions cause excuses. Get Clean and your life will turn for the better.

  5. You could apply online to the National Forest Service. To be a forester you need at least a bachelor's degree in botany, but there are other jobs available.

  6. You need a degree to get most of these jobs.  You could possibly do some volunteer work or an internship to get experience that may help you get something more permanent in the future.  Look here for part time/seasonal work, internships, etc. (your best bet is in the spring when there are loads of projects going on).
