Does anyone know the Dielectric constant of Natural gas or know anything about gaseous conductors in general?

  1. The only number I could find for methane is 1.7 @ -280°F.  The 1st reference gives the dielectric constants of a large number of materials.  Most gases have a dielectric constant between 1.001 and 1.01.
