  1. They could be Slavic, Nordic, Finnish or Russian!


  2. K is found in varying amounts throughout Europe. The Iceman,a neolithic man found preserved by glaciers on the borders of Austria & Italy had mtdna K. There are still a lot of Ks in the Alpine regions (and k is related to mtdna U)

    A large amount of Ashkenazi Jews are K (about 32%)

  3. K is a haplogroup found in Europe.

    It is estimated to date back to 16,000 years ago. These people appeared around the Last Glacial Maximuum in Europe.  It is named K, for Katrine.

    8% of the world is descended  from the K haplogroup.
