  1. It should be on the bottle, how much of each is in each teaspoon....you have to know how many teaspoons there are in an ounce and then multiply the number of teaspoons by the number of ounces......and you'll get your answer.  I suggest that you don't exceed what the doc ordered.

  3. What is the most important information I should know about Hycotuss Expectorant (guaifenesin and hydrocodone)?

    This medication can cause side effects that may impair your thinking or reactions. Be careful if you drive or do anything that requires you to be awake and alert. Avoid drinking alcohol. It may increase drowsiness and dizziness caused by guaifenesin and hydrocodone. Tell your doctor if you regularly use other medicines that make you sleepy (such as other cold or allergy medicine, narcotic pain medicine, sleeping pills, muscle relaxers, and medicine for seizures, depression, or anxiety). They can add to sleepiness caused by guaifenesin and hydrocodone. Hydrocodone may be habit-forming and should be used only by the person it was prescribed for. Hydrocodone should never be given to another person, especially someone who has a history of drug abuse or addiction. Keep the medication in a secure place where others cannot get to

    Hydrocodone bitartrate, USP 5 mg

    Guaifenesin, USP   100 mg

    Alcohol, USP   10% v/v

    No acetominophen at all
