I have a Diamondback Joker 08 and its mad heavy.

Its hard to do anything good on it.

I was thinking of getting a Haro but it has to be under $250

so whats the average weight that is light?

  1. Average BMX bike weigh about 15kgs (well mine does) but better ones weight less. If you want the lightest BXM a i know would have to be the 20" Intense Expert XL at just less than 12kgs. even though it's a racing BXM you can still do up to one metre drops and stuff on it. its a great bike and i was gunna get one but then i bought a freeride bike.

  2. well theres a few problems

    1) your bike isnt that heavy

2)like he said its not a bmx bike

    3)250 bucks sucks completly

4)average weight cannot be told because every bike is different even if its the same model its slightly different

    every company uses different methods

and nothing is ever the same

  3. First of all your Joker is a freestyle bike, not a BMX. It is also Diamondbacks least expensive freestyle bike.If you want to have a MAD heavy bike, try a dirt jump bike. They are anchors.

Freestyle/stunt bikes have to be kind of heavy because you need inertia to keep you moving. If the bike is too light it will just come out from under you and you'll end up landing on your head.

I suggest that a Diamondback Venom or Venom X are probably about as good as you're going to get for the money you want to spend. Don't pay too much attention to brand names since most bikes regardless of brand are built in one of a handful of factories in China or Taiwan.
