Does anyone know the basic salary for a GPA on a cruise ship & if there is an organisation who regulates this?

I don´t think there is any organization which regulates any salaries on cruise ships. I´ve worked for about 10 years onboard and the diferences are incredible. Since I worked (for the better part of it) on the concessions (Gift Shops) we were assigned to several diferente cruise lines and not only the salaries vary a lot from one to another, so does your status and work load. You could go with one of the "major" american companies and have more labour rights, or a smaller company with a higher salary and easier life.
