Does anyone know the beggining verse or quote by Rev Run words of Wisdom???

Like always in the Show Runs House, at the end of every episode he gives a Word of Wisdom, There is an episode where his daughter graduates from high school, with a 4.0 GPA and he throws her a party. Anyways I just remember that He says" If you take shortcuts, you might get cut short, your reward may be financial, or it might be spiritual, but it will most definitely reflect your effort in life" Now I dont remember how this starts but does any one know how this goes. Am I right, did I say the quote right, but I dont remember the start of this quote.
