Castle Mountain, Alberta, CAN.  Good lodging, great prices, fantastic terrain, NO LIFT LINES!!!

It depends on where you are.  In North America the premiere resort is IMO Whistler/Blackcomb in BC, Canada. Lift tickets are about $60/day US, probably higher next season. Other US resorts seem to be about $45-$60/ day.  The best resort is always the one where you are having the most fun.  You must decide just what you want from the resort. Best snow? Best facilities? Best night life? Best day care or instruction?

All depends on what country you want. Whistler or Mammoth are great mountains but i have no idea of cost, anywhere in Norway i assume would be good but it would be very expensive. In colorado keystone/breck/a-basin/vail are great resorts with tickets at $80 in feb is a great deal. YOu get to go to all of them at any time, so I went to all but keystone during the day, then when they closed i head to keystone for night skiing, it was a great deal. I stayed at holiday inn which was cheap like $80 a night for 4 of us. You really have to decide how much you want to spend and then look at ski resorts, that would be my best advice, and try to go in february as all their prices will be down after christmas season
