Does anyone know the best way to get a company to sponsor me? I'm an american moving to Canada to live.?

You have not said on what basis you are moving to Canada.You cannot just move there unless you are able to support yourself financially without working, or have someone there already who can prove their ability to support you.

You would have to apply for immigration to Canada under their points systems for skilled and highly skilled workers, which apart from dependents of Canadian Citizens and permanent residents, are the only immigrants they accept, and points are only awarded for skills on their list as being needed in Canada. If you have enough points, you don't need a sponsor,but the immigration process is faster if you have a firm job offer,and if you do not have enough points you cannot work there. go on the yellow pages in canada and look for a company in your field  call or write and take it from there on
