  1. Hi Stoobie,

If you live in the UK then agencies are not allowed to charge you for their services. They get their money from the firm that hires you.

If you are not in the UK then go direct to the firms concerned.

Here are the names of a few cruise lines if it helps, they all have their own web sites and contact details.

    Carnival

    Ocean Village

    Cunard

    Fred Olsen Cruises

    Celebrity Cruises

    Thompson Cruises

    Dutch American cruise lines.

You could also go to the travel agents and ask for cruise holiday brochures. The contact details for their registered offices are always listed.

    Hope this helps.

    Good luck

  2. go talk to the captain

  3. Hi There!

I am currently employed by Carnival Cruise Lines, who as you may well know are responsible these days for many of the Lines around the World.

To be able to work onboard, it all depends what exactly you are looking to do on the ship. I work in the Casino, and therefore am not required to go through any Agency. However if you are looking to do say, Bar work or shops, they are all employed through Agencies.

I know an e-mail address for the agency that employs shop workers, and I'm pretty sure they don't charge. There is just an on-line application for you to print out, fill in and send off. It's easy! So if you would like that, please contact me via e-mail!

  4. become a doctor or nurse!! guaranteed to get in!!

  5. If it was me I would go into a travel agency and pick up as many brochures on cruise holidays that I could.  Then I would get myself an up to date CV with a WOW factor.  Type up a really stunning letter and send it to each of the companies Head Office for the attention of the Personnel Director.  All it will cost is a little time and as many stamps as letters you send out.  Good Luck.  You could of course try phoning the companies beforehand to find the name of the correct person if you so wish.
