Does anyone know the best way to get a taxi in Murcia, Spain?

Question

Six of us are flying into Murcia airport and need a taxi to a privately hired villa about 15 miles away. We'll have luggage of course and one of the party is pregnant so we need it all in place before we go out in July.

Are there companies that we can book a taxi with through UK channels?

As a bonus point how do you say "Taxi for 6 to .... please" in Spanish!

Just have a taxi pull over and say "un taxi para seis personas, por favor" (a taxi for six persons, please).

P.S. You will have to pay the driver much more because of the luggage (about 5 euros).

good to plan ahead. we got a taxi in Madrid by waving our hand and the guy took us down the most ghetto alleys and back roads. I swear he just drove around in circles...

try talking to whoever you are renting villa from, they may be able organise one or give you details of one.

Taxis in Spain are permitted to carry a maximum of 4 passengers (not including driver). You will have to book a people carrier (maximum 6 passengers). If you pre book airport transfer there is no supplement for luggage - it is incuded in the price. When hailing a taxi on the street you will find you will have to split into 2 groups and get 2 taxis.
