Does anyone know the cheapest place to get glasses?

i am thinking walmart may be the cheapest place to get glasses but im not sure... do places like walmart and sears do the eye exam there.. or do you need a prescription from an eye doctor and then you can get glasses from walmart or sears?... does anyone know around how much an eye exam and glasses would cost without insurance? i know everywhere is different.. but an estimate?...

Walmart is pretty cheap...maybe Sam's?  Usually if Walmart has a glasses department they have an independent optometrist working on premises.

Try Zenni Optical for glasses starting at $8 plus 4.95 shipping.  You will need to submit a prescription and the distance in millimeters between the centers of both eyes, to get frames that fit.

Walmart is a good place to get an eye exam.  I'm not sure what the current charge is, but you can call them and ask.

I think you should go into a mall, then go to those eye doctor places, like maybe Iris *I don't know if they have that in USA* or other popular eye clinics, that way, you can get your eyes checked and have your glases there.
