Adoption can be very expensive or it can cost nothing. It all depends on the type of adoption that you want to do.

Foster to adopt is the least expensive way.

Domestic private adoption costs vary.

Domestic agency adoption costs vary by agency usually around $25K.

Domestic family adoption...meaning someone in your family has a baby and wants you to raise it.....minimal costs, but still need to hire a lawyer and make it all legal.

International Adoption....costs vary by country and agency, but it is at least $25K.

That being said, all avenues are well worth the time and money required to figure everything out and come home with your baby.

Adopting from foster care is FREE! My child also has Medicaid, and a college scholarship. There are many benefits from adopting kids from foster care & so many waiting for homes. Contact your local DCF and thhey can give you more information, as benifits vary from state to state.Best wishes!!
