  1. If you mean the Spring Racing Carnival, it runs from Wednesday 1st October until Wednesday 19th November, 2008

    the highlights of the spring carnival are the melbourne cup, on the first tuesday in november, derby day on the previous saturday and oaks day on the thursday after, and the caulfield cup which is on the saturday before derby day.
