Does anyone know the difference between an IRA and a Roth IRA?

I quit my job recently and have to do something with my 401k soon and I don't want to cash it out! Can someone help? I'm lost!

  1. A Simple IRA comes out of your paycheck before taxes.  A Roth IRA is funded from your own money after taxes.


  2. A regular 401(k) account must be rolled into a conventional IRA.
