The legal age IS 18. However, they will almost never proof anyone since there is no incentive for them to turn away money. There are very lax controlls of the drinking in Cancun. When in doubt, a good fake ID will suffice. I am 40 and have been to Cancun 10X since 2001 with my next trip just 6 months away and have seen alot of underage drinking. Just stay in line and behave and you will have a great trip.

There really isn't one . If parents say you can drink then they will serve you.
