Does anyone know the ethical choices for real milk and where to buy it in Brisbane?

Please don't give me a speel about animal cruelty, I am well informed which is why I am trying to be more conscious about what I buy. This is not about a label, I am not going to call myself vegan. I eat free range eggs and right now I am on soy milk but only because I could not find a milk product that clearly detailed how the cows were being treated. Does anyone know where you can get milk from where baby cows are not turned into veal and cows are treated humanely? Possibly a health food store?

  1. Macrobiotic milk would most likely come closest to satisfying your requirements, not sure where in Brisbane but I'd start off with a local organic food store or co-op

  2. If cows are treated humanely, we'll be having cows for pets.... and cats and dogs for dinner......

  3. The company Organic Pastures treats their cows with respect plus you can get from them "Raw Milk" which is practically milk straight from the cow to you. You can learn more about their products on their website : http://www.organicpastures.com/
