  1. I do not know the exact amount, but I can tell you what it is for a reg. public school.  My son is identified he is mildly autistic and is serviced in a full-inclusion classroom at a typical public elementary school that is k-3.  There are 300 students at the school, 30 students are identified as sp. ed. needing additional support for academics, speech, fine motor, or gross motor, or social skills.  That would be 10% of the students.  Many students that are more severe would attend a special school or program in a different school so I would imagine the 10% is a low estimate.  There are other students that don't receive sp. ed. but do have a disability that is just not severe enough to warrrant further support.

  2. I don't think anyone really knows.  They're getting better and better at finding children with these disabilities and so more and more children are being diagnosed and helped with these conditions.

  3. It is said to be at 10% but the number is probably higher..........
