  1. Hi,

    The only common thread for this name I'm finding on the internet is that it seemed to be very common in South Carolina.


  2. I did find some Fladgers in the English census of 1851.

    The earliest Fladgers I found in the American census all seem to have been born here as well as their parents.

    It could be from a very early English Immigrant family. There is one in the 1790 census, living in SC.

    I could not find a meaning anywhere
