Where the two compete, there isn't much difference between them. The only way you make out on the deal is that they will offer incentives to sign-up or to increase your level of service.

Stick with Optimum.  We wish we did.  We recently got FIOS, and aside from their HORRIBLE HORRIBLE customer service (if you're lucky enough to get through to them, that is), their prices are a bit more, and I hear significantly jump after the promotional period ends.
