    I have included a link to the VAAC above because volcanic ash in the atmosphere can have a diastrous effect upon food production.  It can also turn a summer into near winter.

    There is as you know a major volcanic erruption in Chile right now.

  6. Accu-Weather is a good site but it does have a couple ads that pop up if you are using the free version.  They are a hassle but they are not harmful, just delete them.  Also weather.gov I believe.  Actually weather.gov is hard to beat.  Their radar is excellent.

  7. I find the National Weather Service website to be the most accurate. The NWS employs hundreds of professional meteorologists that have a good amount of experience.
