Does anyone know the name of the race course that closed in the 60s or 70s near Walton on Thames in Surrey?

  1. Do you mean Brooklands? It now contains a racing museum.


  2. Gatwick Airport is built on the site of the old racecourse, and some of the street names around there reflect that fact. The nearest open racecourse is Epsom.

  3. Kempton Park.  Quite close to Sunbury-on-Thames.

    And Sandown Park.  But both are open still?
