It's about a girl, that goes to a convent school. One summer, she breaks her ankle and has to stay at the school for the summer while her parents travel abroad. Every day she walks in a forest and she meets a mysterious boy, in medieval looking clothes with a hawk on his shoulder, and from that point on in the book she becomes embroiled in a time travel mystery to save someone from the past. Very cloak and dagger. At night she uses the roses on her wallpaper to secretly open floor boards in her room, to enter this other time period. She wakes up at the end of the book, in a hospital bed, and when she relates her tale, no one believes her. EXCEPT she finds the necklace he gave her in her palm. Please help!
