  1. It looks very similar to a snake plant or Mother-in-law tongue. I, too, will research this and get back to you on it. :)

Update: Blacktalon and Wolfman got it right. It is a croton.

I am not real familiar with that plant, although it is beautiful. I found this picture on the internet and it looks exactly like it.

  2. Croton.

  3. i looked through a few of my floral books and i dont see that particular plant at all.it looks like a croton, but i dont know which species if it is a croton, sorry.

  4. This plant is a croton. Scientific name"Croton Variegatum"There are many types grown as house plants with a variety of colored and different patterned leaves. The leaves vary from long narrow leaves to the broad like you have. They need bright light in the home.Ideally they should be in a large south facing window.South Florida is the only area in the US where it can be grown as a landscape plant.A growlight would be benificial as well to keep it from getting spindly, and loosing lower leaves. They are all variegated with one or more colors. This one is my favorite, and our best seller in our greenhouses.

  5. that's a rubber plant

  6. nope sorry, but it really is pretty.

Try taking the photo to the local garden centre.  They will certainly know.  It is not a rare plant, I've seen it before, just don't know the name.

  7. we have a lot of these in Florida. The name is at the tip of m tongue!!!

omg, this is frustrating. When I remember, i'll have to get back to you.
