  1. The ground transfer fee will vary by the distance between the airport and the cruise port.  For example, if your cruise is departing from Miami and you fly into Miami airport the transfers will be less than if you fly into Ft Lauderdale because Miami is closer to that port; Ft Lauderdale is 30 miles away.  Likewise if you fly into Miami for a cruise out of Ft Lauderdale the transfers will be more because the Ft Lauderdale airport is just 5 or 6 miles from the cruise port.

You must ask the cruise line how much the transfers are for the airport you plan to use.  Some ports are a long long ways from the nearest airport.

There is really no such thing as a peak season.  Certain types of cruises have a season.  For example, the Alaska season is mid-May through mid-Sept and its about the same for New England Canada Cruises.  Mediterranean cruises generally are May through October.  But Caribbean and Mexico cruises are now year around and the cruise ships regularly fill up to capacity.  We went on a Royal Caribbean cruise this past December to the Western Caribbean and the ship was full, no vacancies and there were a good number of kids on board too.

  2. $12 for transfer from San Juan airport to cruise port. If you are using another airport you can email RCCL and ask how much the transfer costs and how to book it.

Peak season is usually the summer months June, July and August.
