Does anyone know the price difference to have a mover pack you instead of packing yourself?

This would be in Canada between 2 fairly close cities - and just a ballpark idea....

  1. Truthfully, I have never heard of an honest packer.  They make their money on the boxes, tape, and bubble wrap.  You'll pay through the nose.

    Best to go out and start collecting boxes from stores for free and start packing up stuff a box or two per day, starting with stuff you don't use, like winter clothes, books, dinnerware, memories, est.  Before you know it, you'll be almost done.  

    Trust me on this... if you're like the rest of the world, you have way more stuff than you know.


  2. That is a question for the moving company; any of which will gladly answer your question and provide a quote.

  3. If you pack it, and something breaks, it's on you. If they pack it and something breaks, it's on them.

  4. The best thing to do is get two or three free estimates.  We have done this twice and it was worth every penny.
