  1. Real reason was to fight Fedor, plain and simple.

A real reason from the UFC would be that Tim is a boring fighter now.

  2. Didn't know he had. Let's face it though, he wont exactly be missed. What reason did he give?

  3. tim sylvia simply thought the ufc treated him poorly. he lost the ufc heavyweight championship fight to randy couture by decision. he wanted a rematch immediatley but it wasn't given to him.he says"Im used to being kicked around by the UFC"   he feels going turkey hunting is a better use of his time.

  4. He left for a few several reasons. 1, He didn't want to be under 1 banner, fighting under affliction meant he could compete with other people in other companies, well besides UFC because UFC has a 1 banner rule. 2, He didn't really like UFC. Claims they treated him bad and low pay, I guess. 3, Who really gets a shot at showing the world they're the best by taking out Fedor.

  5. Money and press. Tim didnt think the UFC paid or promoted him enough. Both sides had their points and the UFC agreed to let Tim pursue fights with other organizations with the potential to return to the UFC in the future. There wasn't any bad blood in the split, just something that worked best for both sides at this time.

EDIT: Also Tim's manager Monte Cox is running M-1 Global. So this allowed Tim to make good money by fighting for them, and helped give M-1 Global name recognition.

  6. He gets a chance to fight Fedor.

  7. It's pretty much the same reason why Randy left: money & respect. Tim felt he wasn't being promoted well by the UFC, and the money aspect started when the PRIDE guys and Brock were signed to more money than him.
