  3. what are these mini tacos

  4. If you found a picture of them ,why can't you find a recipe for them? Usually there's a recipe with the picture.

  5. Mini Taco Appetizers

    Things You’ll Need:

        * Wonton wraps

        * Ground beef

        * Salsa

        * Package of Mexican shredded cheese

        * Taco seasoning

        * Picante sauce

        * Optional: garnishes

    Step1

    Gather enough ingredients to feed all those hungry football fans who will fill your living room on Superbowl Sunday. Have a bounty of supplies to serve your mini treats. Buy several inexpensive serving platters to hold all the appetizers, but if you have a couple of decorative platters, make use of them instead.

    Step2

    Make mini tacos in wonton wrappers. Wonton wrappers are thin pasta-like sheets used for making Asian dumplings and appetizers. Look for them in the cold produce section of the grocery store, sometimes near the prepackaged, clean and cut vegetables and salad dressings. They are also sold at international markets and at Whole Foods. NASOYA is a good brand of wonton wraps that you can buy.

    Step3

    Review the foods needed to make the taco mixture. You will need the following ingredients to fill the little cups: 1 lb. ground beef, 1 12 oz package of taco seasoning mix, 2 tbsp picante sauce, 1/2 cup of your favorite salsa, 1 cup shredded Mexican-blend cheese.

    Step4

    Press the wonton wrappers into a mini muffin pan to form small cups. Show care not to make the tops too tight. You want to keep the center of the wrap sufficiently open. Bake 5 minutes in a 350 degree oven (or follow the baking instructions on the wonton wrap package). Allow the baked wrappers to cool.

    Step5

    Sauté the beef in a pan until browned and stir in taco seasoning and picante sauce. Next, spoon the beef mixture into the wonton cups and then top them with the salsa and cheese.

    Step6

    Cook the mini tacos right before you are ready to serve them to your guests. Place them in a 350 degree oven for about 5 minutes or until the cheese melts a bit. Arrange the mini tacos on a platter and serve them right away to hungry football fans. This recipe makes approximately 24 mini tacos.

    enjoy!
