  1. yes...here u go

    http://www.travel.state.gov/family/adopt...

  2. www.worldadoptions.org

They are an adoption agency but, they have a lot of info you need! Good luck!

  3. Only married couples may adopt from China.  Until recently, single women could adopt (although there were limitations on how many could adopt a year) and single men were never allowed to adopt from the country.

Both parents must be over the age of 30 years.

Household income must be ATLEAST $10,000 per year per family member, including the child being adopted.

Those are the main factors, there are many more (financial, health, etc.).

You must complete a financial statement, home study, etc. etc.  You must meet the requirements of not only your state, but the requirements of China and the additional requirements imposed by the US in order to bring the child into this country with a Visa.

There are MANY adoption agencies.  The one we plan to use is http://www.CWA.org .  You can read more about the requirements there.  (We plan to adopt from China in the relatively near future).

  4. The same as any other adoption!

You have to qualify to adopt, first!

Select an agency to do your adoption homestudy.  If you are approved, then select an agency to adopt through.

Do your homework!  Go online to adoption websites and read, read, read.  Then call agencies and talk, talk, talk,  Go on forums and chat, chat, chat!  Some of the good ones are adoption.org, adoption.com, adoptions.

You will, of course, have to be in good mental, emotional, and physical healthy, have a strong income, good family support, good male role models, a healthy lifestyle, good morals and values, lots of time to care for a child, stable solid employment, ability to manage well financially, no drugs or alcohol, no arrests, no children's services allegations, etc.

    Good luck!
