Does anyone know the species of bush I am talking about?

It's very common in gardens and as hedges. It has dark green, oval serrated leaves, and a very strong pine smell when you rub the leaves. It also feels sticky when you rub it. It has pink flowers.

  1. Viburnums like Viburnum Pragense are broadleaf evergreens as are Aucubas, mountain laurel and various Cistus or rock roses.

    The Cistus have fragrant leaves and many are evergreen.
