  1. The motion for a temporary restraining was denied, but Judge R. Barclay Surrick did not dismiss the lawsuit. I'm assuming none of the defendents have yet been served. The last update to the website of the lawyer who filed the lawsuit was on August 29.

    On a related issue...

A federal judge has ordered expedited briefing in a case that contends that John McCain, the Republican presidential nominee, cannot become president because he was not born on U.S. soil.

The American Independent Party is seeking to have the Arizona senator's name removed from ballots in California. The group says in court papers that federal law would bar the McCain from taking office were he to be elected in November because he was born in the Panama Canal Zone in 1936 while his father was stationed at Coco Solo Naval Air Station.

U.S. District Court Judge William Alsup of the Northern District of California will hear arguments in the case September 11.

  2. Nope....

  3. It is still pending. It will be a few more weeks yet, but it WILL see the light of day before November rolls around.

  4. He was born in Hawaii.....which, I believe is a US state......McCain was born in Panama.....which I believe is NOT a US state.

  5. Not at all. I bet you could google it.

  6. Neocon, there is no such court case ever existed and/or exists anywhere. But there is a number of court cases pending in several state courts on McCain's mental state.

  7. Last I heard the Judge is going to hear the case. We will know soon enough.
