  1. Very common.  Did you know that the (male)  Father is the determining factor on which are girls and which are boys?  Pretty cool!

Although not a world record, or at least I don't know, a friends Chihuahua had 8 boys!  All lived.  Wow.

Add:  O.K. slick  I'll take time to correct punctuation.;-)

  2. i think its funny that the 2nd poster said the "male father" is the one responsable - as opposed to the female father. - sorry cameo's mom, i wasnt trying to sound rude, it just made me do a double take when i first read that.  you put a smile on my face, thats all

and in mammals, the male is ALWAYS the one that makes the s*x.  females can only give the x chromosome since females are comprised of 2 x chromosomes; males on the otherhand are comprised of an x as well as a y, so they can give either.

i've heard that temperate can affect the sperm, and warmer sperm tend to make males - so maybe daddy was really warm that day.

but i think its really neat that they are all males.  do they all look alike?  maybe they are sets of twins? (whatever 6 twins are - sextuplets? - lol)

  3. very common.... my litter born June 12 was 6, all males, and I have a friend who had 7 puppies, all males.

  4. because the dad decided to have all male pups.

  5. Very common, Not at all a big deal.
