Does anyone know the young/hip area of toronto and if it is expensive to live there...?

Leslieville and the East side are great and are up and coming and not too expensive at all...yet!

Probably the most young and hip area in town is Queen West and West Queens West. It is expensive to live here but I would recommend finding somewhere close to Queen west that is reasonably priced because most things on the west side are within walking distance.

Edit I have to agree, Liberty village is actually where I live and I love it, it isnt cheap though.

Another hip area is Liberty Village, which is not too far from Queen West, but is a bit cheaper.  Many areas are growing and developing.  I find the East side (Leslieville) is getting hipper by the day, and cost of living out there isn't as high for now.
