I always thought the broadsword was a western sword, like the ones in the film Braveheart?

Cold Steel makes a nice one, so does Museum Replicas.  They are heavy for forms though.

I know of a place that makes them in New Jersey.  They make quality swords for Kung Fu.  They can even sharpen them for you if you do some cutting.  Note though that those are not cheap, but they are high quality and well made weapons.  

Most of the weapons that you see around the internet are mild chromed steel that will not hold up to extended use.
