  1. this means you are nearsighted and i think one eye is -1.25 and the other is -0.75, right?

Imagine this   -0- (zero) is normal and this is what people who have 20/20 vision see without glasses or contact lens

nearsighted people wear negative like you -1.25 -0.75

farsighted people wear positive like +1.25 etc.

glasses are made in quarters  25,50,75,1.00 etc

your numbers mean that you probably see 20/20 with this Rx in your gls/cls

  2. you are not able to see at a far distance. you could see close but not far. It would be wise if you get a pair of glasses, it will help your eyes focus a little more and aviod any headaces if you have any. You are not 20/20... you are about 40/20

  3. as your eyes get worse, the numbers are going to go down (-2, -2.5, -3, etc).  Sorry, but you don't have perfect 20/20 vision anymore!  That's your perscription--  -1.25 is one eye, and -.75 is your other eye.  Those are the numbers you use to get glasses or contacts.

  4. those are your prescription numbers for each eye.. and no, thats not perfect vision.

  5. means that you are just a little bit near sighted.
