  1. Unfortunately for us mere mortals, London UndergrounD staff use a lot of jargon words and codes which are generally not available to the public.

I have searched high and low on the Internet trying to find out what a code 6 means - it could mean assistance required for some purpose or other.  It might mean someone has gone under a train.  Perish the thought.

The only TfL jargon I know, is the old one from London Transport where the staff called us pensioners 'twirlies' because we used to offer up our pensioners free travel cards and when the reader stayed read, would ask, "am I too early" which sounded more 'am I twirly'.

Sorry about that.  Let's hope someone from the Choob comes on to explain.

    Meanwhile, here's a free choob ride. . . .

  2. i have no idea.. but Inspector Sams is a really bad one and you must get out of the tube station for it (its the under cover code for terrorists)

  3. What time was this? I was just on the London travel website and one of the lines is closed because a man is stuck under a train or something. Maybe that's it.

  4. lovetheglamour : you should listen properly because it is inspector sands not sam.It means the fire alarm has been activated a the station has to be evacuated until fire officers tell us it is safe to go back in.

code 6 I have no idea.maybe use in central london stations only
