  1. Mt. Hiei (AKA Mt. Hieizan) is near Kyoto. It is really beautiful in the Spring as the Mountain is full of Cherry Trees.

    Enryaku-ji is a Buddhist temple that belongs to the Tendai sect and is on Mt. Hiei.

  2. You might be meaning Hiezan (or Hieizan) which is a transliteration for Mount Hie, in northern Kyoto and the location of the Enryaku-ji temple complex.
