Does anyone know what a dose is? It was said to me today and i never heard of it, in that way. He told me to post it here to show me how many people know, so i am. Do you know?

Hi,

In my younger days it meant catching a rather nasty disease (usuually VD), from a female through having s*x!

Nowadays it usually means an amount (normally a spoonful) of something rather unpleasant, such as a dose of medicine or a dose of salts.

I know which I would prefer!!!

I don't think this question has anything to do with motorcycles. When I was much younger, having a "dose" meant that you had VD. It might mean something else now.

I'm having a "dose" of Southern Comfort right now! I have have a "dose" of women in my life. I have taken a "dose" of medicine. But I have never had a "dose" of the clap! *LOL*

Edit: "a "dose" of women. This means you have had enough to last for a while. Or all you need.
