Does anyone know what are some good neighborhoods in Atlanta, Ga to live at?

in the mansion area , and not to far away from the downtown area, close and safe to raise children.

Not sure what you mean by 'the mansion area'...

I lived in Atlanta and surrounding areas for 15 years.

Dunwoody is a nice area, Sandy Springs is a nice area.  Both of those areas are pretty established on their own and involve money.

There are other areas that are nice too--Lawrenceville, Buford, Marietta.  Depends on what you call 'close' to Downtown.  Midtown is close and there's money involved there too...but don't know how safe it would be to raise kids in--I personally wouldn't do it.  Would stick with the areas I mentioned.  Stone Mountain area isn't bad either.  I wish you luck.  I've moved away from there and miss it sometimes--although I don't miss the traffic!
