Does anyone know what army medics' sites are like in (ex.) Tikrit/Iraq? How safe are they? Who can get help?

  1. hello. i joined the Navy for the medical/dental field (HMDA, hospital corpsman/dental assistant). Even the Navy hospital corpsmans actually travel WITH the marines, which makes it a dangerous job. I don't know much about the army, but I know for a certain fact that the army medics does travel with the patrol units. Some are stationed on base, some are stationed on the safe zones. But like i said, i'm not too sure about the army. But i'm sure they have medical units traveling with the patrol units as navy corpsman does with the marines. Definitely talk to someone you know that's in the army, cause i'm sure they can tell you a better answer that's more accurate than mine.

    I have a feeling army medics aren't safe either as other units, cause medics are crucial in saving our injured brothers and sisters on the battlefield.
