Does anyone know what color the white house was before it got burned down?

I got from wikipidia that it was sandstone on the outside. It would of been a yellow the same color of sand.

I don't know what color it was before, but if the Americans hadn't destroyed York, now Toronto (my home town) it would still have its original color.

It was yellow. Dolly Madison hated yellow tho, so when the British burned it down, she had the perfect excuse to repaint it when the rebuilt the place. She also had all the yellow tulips ripped up and replaced with different flowers.
