Does anyone know what cyclonic precipitation is?

is cyclonic precpitation frontal? because i know there are only 3 types and that theres convectional, and relief also called orgraphic but im not sure about cyclonic.

  1. Stratiform rain, which is also known as frontal rain or cyclonic rain, is the type of rain that occurs with the passage of a front. This rain is a steady rain that lasts for hours or even days.


  2. I have never heard of the term  cyclonic precipitation, though in most instances,  rain occurs in an area of lower pressure.  (cyclonic spin)

    Types of precip are rain,  rain showers, drizzle, freezing rain,  snow,  snow pellets, and hail.   Freezing rain freezes on contact with a frozen surface.  Snow and snow showers come from convective activity,  while stable air and the temperature determine if you are getting drizzle or let's say even freezing drizzle.  Precip type is dependent in general on cloud type.

    It is possible to get embedded rain showers with rain or drizzle.    But you can determine that by looking at upper air soundings,  pilot reports and observations.
