  1. The central committee of the party selects a replacement. The Vice Presidential candidate is not necessarily promoted.

  2. I answered, the Party chooses a new nominee who may also choose their own VP

  3. Never really thought much about it, but I do now. Is there a Democrat not going to make it.....

  4. Why, are you planning on killing someone?

  5. To get an ACCURATE  answer to you question, I propose that you make just one  short  phone-call to your local party Headquarters, and get the right answer from them.

Remember,     Always go to the SOURCE!!

  6. They get BURIED..

  7. They bury them.

  8. start the process over!

YOU think that Hillary is it, if something happens to Barack?

  9. The same would go for if they were already the president I think. Meaning the candidate for VP would then become the candidate for president, or the other person, say Obama passed away, I think Hill bill would get back in there.

  10. Wow - haven't really even thought of that possibility before. I suppose that if it was Obama who died, the democratic party would offer Hillary the running (maybe - you never know. there's always the highly probable chance that they would think "ooh she probably conspired to kill him so that she could get back in the running"), and if it was McCain they would probably offer Romney the running for that party. Obviously there would be a TON of eulogizing (i'm not even sure if that's a word) nationwide mourning / commemoration. It's a strange possibility when you think of it.

  11. Common sense.

If there are only two nominees and one dies or withdraws before the election, the remaining nominee is automatically declared the winner. The electoral process after nominations is irreversible.

To understand this better refer to the recent Zimbabwe presidential election run-off where there were only two contestants,Mugabe and Tswangison.Tswangison then chickened out of the race at a stage when the process was irreversible and...the rest is history.

On the other hand if there are more that two nominees and only one dies or withdraws, the race continues to the electoral end.

In summary, the electoral process in any democracy like the US or Zimbabwe is like a vehicle that is moving with no reverse gear.It only moves forwards, not backwards.

  12. Hillary knows

  13. who you trying to kill?
