Does anyone know what is in Sheswan sauce as in Sheswan chicken at a Thai Restaurant?

I would love to make that at home but do not know what is in it.

Get the spellng right, It's szechuan, & check a recipe site.

Do you mean Szechuan?  If so, its actually a province of China!  Szechuan Chicken usually contains a fair amount of szechuan pepper corns which you can buy at an asian grocery store... I found this recipe for you:

6 tbsp. soy sauce + 3 tbsp. water

(or 9 tbsp. of low-sodium soy sauce)

2-3 tbsp. cornstarch

chopped fresh or dry ginger (to taste)--I use 2-3 tbsp.

3 tbsp. sherry (optional)

pinch szechuan pepper (ground)
